Miniatures (Murat Coşkun feat. Camerat String Quartet)

The focus of this program is on the music of Georgia, a crossroads between Europe and Asia, with works by Sulkhan Tsintsatze. The Georgian composer transformed folkloric dance motifs from his homeland into "miniatures."
Without wasting many words or notes, these small "musical sketches" get to the heart of the matter and give listeners plenty of space to explore emerging thoughts and emotions.
When Murat Coşkun encountered these "miniatures" by Tsintsatze a few years ago, he immediately felt the desire to add his own "frame drum voice" to the original string quartet lineup. As a percussionist, he utilizes his diverse frame drum sounds and his musical experience with orchestras and ensembles, developing a new kind of sound ensemble with "string quartet and frame drums."
Together with the Camerata String Quartet, they have created a harmonious piece of music in which dance-like and yearning melodies passionately blend with the pulsating and archaic sound of the frame drum. An extraordinary and exciting listening experience: freshly engaged and at the same time fully dedicated to the music.
